    Red face Exhaust, extractors etc

    Hi everyone!
I got a few questions i hope someone can help me with.
    I have a 2000 civic GLi sedan.
I have been wanting to get my exhaust done for ages so I took it to Longlast exhaust and he gave me a price for 2" piping and a crome tip $275 and extractors $375. Then went to Australias best tires etc, and I told them the price and gave me a better deal, but I changed my mind and wanted a crome barrel instead so it was $350 for the barrel and $350 for the extractors. This was in November. I called them 2 weeks ago and still no parts. I really want to hurry up and get this work done cause im sick of waiting around and getting passed on the streets by pissy little excels. Any suggestions? I dont want to do this half arsed, and I dont mind paying for it.
I know that this work wont improve the performance of my car so greatly, so whats next? Whats the next step I should take to get some better performance out of my car after I have my exhaust done?

no mods , short of a turbo kit or engine conversion - will let you pass "pissy little excels". ( they have a revvy lil 1.5 DOHC methinks which will always beat your car) .

IMHO , i would just get a muffler for your car. Excess sound will mentally play on others - you will "feel" faster atleast.

Or - save up $$$ for an engine conversion or sell your car and buy something like a vtir with abit more grunt.

what ben said... Althogh excels are 1.5, granny cars, a manual one is actually alright and will make a good attempt at keeping up with a stock Eg si sedan... which is more powerful and lighter than yours... stock

    bolt ons wont cut it...

Well , the rough price for an engine conversion is aroudn the $5000-$10,000 for a simple b16a up to a k20 series engine.

Do a search to find out more , as it HAS been covered many times before !

go to LIVERPOOL EXHAUST or atleast give them a call, but i recommend you go down there the guys there can give you a discount. They're best in business cheapest prices highest quality.i got a price quote for the same thing you're getting abit bigger exhaust with extractors for around $500.

on the topic of extractors, what would one suggest for a EM1 coupe ? I guess my budget would be 600 max.
