wow they stick out a bit hey? but damn it looks HOT. btw is that first pic with it sitting stock height? like is it raised on a jack or anything? looks pretty high up.. and yeah needs a 1-2inch drop =].
btw do u reckon 18x8 with +40 would stick out like that?
-
markCivicVti, so whats your rims offset?? +38?
thats look alright,, if you can get 45 thickness, would be better
-
45 thickness would ruin the diameter wouldnt it? =/.
-
wow.. 18.. they look so small for ur fd.. I was gonna put 18s on mine..but looking at ur ride.. it seems abit to small.. we shell see after you have dropped it..
-
it would depend on the rim, i think because these rays have like the 5 spokes going from like inside within the rim and coming out (sorry i dunno how to explain it better lol), it just looks smaller than other 18s, there are a few 18s that look like 19s ive seen
-
wow nice wheels u have there mate.. lower it will look sexier.. =)
-
thanks for the pics mark! I'm going to change to 18" soon but wont lower it for now... so i was abt to ask for pic of 18" that hasnt lowered... yours just answer my question!

Bye2 Honda... Hello Mazda family

^ no worries denot.
Anyone know the minimum load rating tyre needed for our FD1 with aftermarket rims? Is it the same as the stock tyre which is 91?
And how sure are you?

do you mean increase the diameter? it should be alright
coz i thought 40 thickness would looked nice for fd
but 40 thickness looks too skiny,,,aye,.,, look like shopping troleey, i also thnking to get 18" rims
-
LOL. shopping trolley.. nahh 40 thickness looks nice to me, id prefer lower profile to make it look like the rim is bigger haha. yeah im thinking of 18" rims too, but dont u have 19s or 20s in ur display pic already lol?

if u get 45 will ruin ur speedo as we always mention before (doesn't matter FD1 get 15' or 16"), try :
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
result :
15" - 195 - 60 compare 18 - 215-40 = actual speed 100kmh, speedo 100.0xx, 0.852% different
but if with 45 = actual speed 100, speedo 97.5kmh, diff 2.5%
means if u see ur speedo 100kmh at 100zone with speed camera ahead, u will get ticket coz ur actual speed is 102.5 kmh, unless speed camera give ur some overlimit tolerant
2008 FD1 with 205-55-16", try again and comes with same result too.

i think, 18" is the most "balance" for upgrade the rims. coz why :
1. if u get 20" --> best in aesthetic and worst in performance
2. if u get 15" --> worst in aesthetic but best in performance
so 18 (max 19) for good aesthetic and not too bad perf.
like ej20i with 17 can get 0-100 in 7sec, me with 18, never dream of it..lol
