Owned?
Google "car broker fleet discount" mate, and you just might learn something.
Missus was a finance manager before going to westpac if you must really know.
And no, she didn't play golf with anyone, if that matters as well.

Because a car broker tells you the get fleet discounts you believe them? Imagine if they posted the truth. Would you use them?
Here at XYZ car brokers we charge the dealers a referral fee, sometimes up to $2,000 and in some instances the customers too. That means the "fleet discount" we get you is eaten up and you could've bought it cheaper from the dealer anyway.
For the record, John Rocka is CEO of Toyota Australia. But I wouldn't expect a former business manager to know that, or how car broker services work. Both UNLS1 and myself have years of motor sales experience between us. Every other sales person in the industry will tell you the same. They'd rather sell direct to customers than to brokers and they could get it cheaper without a broker anyway.

Who is John Rocka? According to the Toyota Australia website, the Australian CEO is Max Yasuda. The Lexus CEO is John Roca. Maybe with all of the experience, you have gotten confused somewhere?

One and the same. John Roca was the MD of Toyota before Lexus from memory.
At the end of the day I do know how car brokers work because they have bought cars from me. they DO charge referral fees and do NOT get fleet discounts regardless of what they tell people on their websites.

Hi Guys,
I’m quite new to the forum. I am currently in the process of closing the deal on a brand new Accord luxury. I got a quote for $37,489 drive away. This is on a company fleet deal.
Cheers,
Dilan

Is this a good deal?
I have found an 2008 manual silver accord euro (new shape) in silver, which is an ex-demo with 6000km on the clock for 32k drive away. Is this a good deal? what price were people able to bargain the new cars down to? I also got a good price for my trade in.

to be honest i know that u can get a manual euro for 33k driveaway brand new. i got my auto euro for 35k driveaway, and the dealer said usually 2k in difference between manual and auto.
i think pretty expensive esp the kms it has on it

That is virtually New Price for a demo. With 6,000km i would expect you would pay around 30K maximum.

Hi everyone, first post here
I'm looking to get a new car soon-ish, will start hunting around in February.
The Accord Euro is one of the cars I'm considering. Just wondering, with the recent increase in prices, what kind of price will I be paying for a base model, either auto or manual?
Thanks for the help
