Whether Euro can use Shell Unleaded E10 (ethanol-blended fuel)?

you wouldnt wanna use that for ur car since its still a fairly new car .. shell vortex is the way to go , i guess u still can but it wouldnt run as good as the premium fuel mate

Yes it can.Personally i wouldn't use it.I use either Mobil 8000 or Caltex Vortex.both are 98 RON

I believe the euro was on a list of cars which can run E10 published by the government. I could be wrong but I read somewhere that E10 is the quivalent of 94RON. Personally I wouldn't touch the stuff. I've been using either BP Ultimate or Mobil Synergy lately

The Euro is on the Govt released list but I asked my service manager what he thought and he advised me STRONGLY against it. I haven't touched it at all.

There was a recent comparison done with 3 Camrys, one using E10, one standard ULP and one using Premium (Vortex etc). They rotated the drivers over the course of the trip to ensure that each was driven over similar conditions by each of the drivers. Also none of the drivers knew which car was runninhg what fuel and the car running E10 actually used more fuel over the trip so was less efficient and that means any small upfront saving is really a false saving anyway!

dont do it!! haven't you seen those flyer from BP showing the effects of the poorer fuel?
I'd definantly opt for a much higher RON, not only will your car run much smoother but you will notice your tank gets you that lil bit further in km!

honda australia say it's fine to use. honda have tested it with e10 and have given it the ok.

HOWEVER it's a shit fuel and i would not recommend it. you are better off with a standard premium, your car will run better and have better fuel economy

anyways to the OP i watched a documentary on TV abc a few weeks ago comparing E10 to standard and premium and you actually spend more for less....

So in terms of comparison E10 spent less cash for alot less mileage and premium gets a greater amount of mileage and slightly better driving feel.
I can't remember the figures they had on the same cars using different fuels but the premium was the way to go, only thing i can think of is E10 releases less poisonous fumes into the atmosphere.

But i don't trust E10 to a pretty new car.

Yes, you can use it.
I wouldn't use it, I like BP ultimate 98. It is made over here in WA (other states too?), so it's fresh, and also it's the only 98 we get over here.

I've heard from a few reliable sources that Shell fuel is not clean burning and prone to leaving deposits in the combustion chamber and the exhaust tailpipe which over a period of time could be a problem.Anyone like to comment?

With our combustion engines, no fuel is clean burning. I use Caltex Vortex98 and I still get deposits in the exhaust tail pipe.
