rattleing sound in engine bay

hey
i have a ratteling sound in my engine bay when i rev and its only getting worse, i feel i have power loss when i rev my car, could it be the head gasket or other various reasons? i just changed my extractors recently if that helps

oh dear... you're engine is detonating... go get the timing sorted ASAP... go put premium (98octane) in before you do anything.

Go to a workshop and tell them the engine is pinging like a motha ****a and they will sort the shit out.

if its not detonation, if could be lose bolts... does it sound like ball bearings rattling in a tin-can??? if so its more than likly detonation.

It does sound like your car is pinging. Get it checked ASAP by a mechanic. Its unlikely you'll find an easy fix on these forums with asking vauge questions. Not having a go at you but its the best option for you and your car dude.

rattling and loss of power? could be anything. where is the noise comming from? could be anything froma spun bearing, to loose bolt.

hey guys, thanx for the help, i got it fixed today, it was actually the cat coverter, there was a crack on the top of it...weird i noe. but i changed it and now everything is all good. thanx

nah, sorta, but its just really really bad rattling, like when i let go of the accelerator, it just vibrates really bad and it rattles heaps.
