    ek ehaust

Hi guys, ive got a few ideas off boost for an exhaust for my ek. being all honda men i was wondering what exhaust system you think would be best for my budget and needs. Im prepared to spend up to around 400 on it and im not all worried about gaining more power from it, i just want a nice deep non tinny sound.

If you're not concerned with power, just get an exhaust shop to weld you on a muffler. The x-force twin loop isn't bad. Even a canon muffler with the rest standard isn't very loud, but will give you that deeper tone.

na my mate has a muffler welded on and i dont like sound that much. What i meant was im not after huge power gains from a new exhaust system, eg im happy if i only gain say 10kw more but aslong as i get a nice sound

go with a magnaflow muffler. save your money and just get an axleback if ur really concerned with sound

    x2

magnaflow mufflers are the biz, i had a 2 1/4ich system on my ek with a sigle hotdog and a magnaflow straight through, sounded real nice for what it was

Headers will make it sound alot better aswell, not to mention decent power gains in the top end, somthing for the future perhaps

An 11% increase on a D16Y4 with just a muffler is pretty substantial.

with the d16y engine how much more would i be likely to get out of it with extractors and a hi flow cat??

i cant give u exact figures but you'll definantly feel it. the extractors and the high flow cat are giving you the performance increase. cat back + stock cat and stock headers gives u nothing except sound really
