    was it worth it?

Just wondering what you guys think. I bought my cxi back in may 07. non vtec. The lady had $11500 on it and i managed to get it down to 10500. The timing belt needed replacing. Engine nice low kms of only 74000 back then. the interior of the car was perfect, not a mark on it and the backseats i doubt had ever been used. Few rough spots on the paint but they were easily fixed. Had no modifications except for a spoiler and 14 inch wheels and headlight protectors. I asked honda and they said 10500 was a good price. What do you guys think. Im kicking myself cause I probably could have got something with more power for nearly the same money. My dad wouldnt let me get a car with over 100000kms on it but now i have learnt that these honda engines still go well even with 200000 on them as long as they are maintained.
this car is not likely to hold its value well is it cause of the shit engine? Do you think this was a good buy anyway??

We need more info, what yr was the car, was it auto or manual? sedan or hatch?
$10500 seems a bit much in my opinion. I paid $11000 for my 98 CXi auto in 2005 with 80 000kms.

all cars in general are going to lose value over time, so no point comparing prices from years back to now.
I bought my EK1 99 gli back in 07 for $7K and it was a bargain back then, but now adays there seems to be alot cheaper or around that price.

yeah, little expensive... i've seen some go for around 6'ish... why dun ya ask honda to buy it off ya seeing as it's "a good car for a good price"... then use that money and get another EK with money left over...
While driving the other day, I saw a banana peel on the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it... thanks Mario Kart.

the car sounds like it was in top condition, but i think you paid a little more for it and could have gotten a gli (all 4 disc brakes, tacho, electric) for the same price back then.

as the purchase date was almost 2 years ago, prices around 9k-10k sounds about right for the market value of the car. so you may have only been off by about 1k.

market value nowadays, i see them at 6k-8k, private/dealer, stock. some are tight and are still selling at even 9k.

depends really where you shop around, like simonnowis really got a bargain on their car as they purchased a gli 99 in the same year as you for 7k! good buy!
"has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?"

Sounds like u may have paid a lil bit too much, but hey if like the car then i see nothing worng with paying what u did. If u really wanted bang 4 buck u should have gone with an S14.

yeh well i spose it wasnt a bad price back in may 07. I wanted low kms so i spose i had to pay a little bit more for that. Ive got it now and its goin fine so i spose i shoudlnt worry about it.

i think you pay for what you get.

you payed a fair price for a car with low k's and clean condition. i would much rather that then a 6k car with things falling off it.

congrats. and show us some pics :-)
