    18 inch rims on s2k

    Hi

im in the market for 18s on my '01 s2k.
what i need to know is what offset is required for both the front and rears.
would 18x7.5 front and 18x8.5 rear be the correct width rims?

also, what tyre sizes should i use for front and rear?

    thanks for any info

    found this info:

    · Front - 18X7 +45 225/40/18
    · Rear - 18X9 +55 255/35/18

would that be a typical 18" rim/tyre setup on an s2k?

Your best option would be to jump onto www.s2ki.com and search through the Wheel/Tyre Forums.

Good luck with it and get back to us on what the correct offset/tyre sizes are.

ps. What wheels were you thinking of getting anyways?

255 can fit, but it'll be close with that offset.

Depends on your offset and rim width. I've seen an S2K with 265s and it didn't rub at all without lip modifications. But I wouldnt use this tyre size on my car. Way too big. 245 is a good size for the rear

i used 19*9 rims on rear with 35/235 .....and i had to grind the bodykit...welll as you said depend on the offset......

i might be buying 18x8 for front and rear with 45mm offset running 225/40/18 all round.
i know that size is fine for the fronts
will it rub on the rear?

it more than likely will rub...don't quote me on it but also don't believe the seller who state that it doesnt :P

the 45mm offset and equal tyre contact patch on both front and rear will definitely give you handling problem

I run 18" during winter with offset of around 52+,235 and 65+,255 front and rear respectively.
Do it right first time and you won't regret the short cut. If you have the extra cash get light rims otherwise the s2k performance will be affected.
