hehe, if the fd2r do come out that time, that'll be a bonus and hopefully there'll be a fd2 type r thread just like this. But that's highly likely since they already have a FD2 chassis here in Australia.
Well, meanwhile I'm still studying my postgrad in uni and working part-time, it'll take me while to save up enough cash. Therefore I'm hoping there will still be good condition and JDM ep3's around by the time I graduate and work full-time.
I don't want to wait too long and turning out to be all trashed up ep3's on the market, just like the dc2r's.
i think someone has mentioned this b4 but i just want to double check b4 i buy brake rotors and brake pads. Are the ep3 brake pads front and rear and rotors front and rear the same size as the dc5r front and rear ??
heyy, do you guys reckon there will be more facelift models on the market in 1 or 2yrs time?
At the moment, there's mostly 02 and 03 models going for around 25-27k. However for 04 and 05, it's hovering in the early 30k.
I'm hoping to see the 2005 models for mid to late 20ks in a few years time.
unfortunately this is hard to say.
production numbers for FL (04-05) are definitley less than pre FL (01-03) due to the fact that they only had around 15months of production vs nearly 3 years for per FL.
also most import shops brought in pre FL as the cost is lower and easier to sell. plus the fact that Yen is so high compared to AUD now that not many people are importing cars right now so supply is relatively low.
however it is possible that in a few years FL cars will be worth around mid 20ks as any (mass produced) cars would drop in value. but may be supply/demand would means us owners won't loss too much $$.
in 5 years, my 05 will be nearly 10yo and i don't expect it to worth $30k. if it has the resale as strong as the DC2R now i'd be pretty happy.
