    For mirror polishing just simple 1 or 2 coats of paint stripper, clean wheels, sand from 400 grit up to 2000 grit, and a LOT of metal polishing and buffing.

    need to really think about it before going ahead and polishing it, as once you start no turning back.
    i started sanding down some fat fives and damnn so much time and effort is required..im still on rim 1 LOL
