also first service is 99 dollars, and the next 4 are close to that price aswel.
warranty is voided if you service yourself isnt it
What buddah forgot to mention is he's a licensed mechanic. So for him servicing his own car is not a problem. He's still covered under warranty as long as he services it by the book.

rofl ass hole!
the oil filter should be easily found by called honda service department and asking them for a price and part no. to suit.

All services up until 40,000km are basically just Oil Changes, with a filter replacement every 20,000km.
Being a Licensed Mechanic I think I am quite capable of removing a sump plug or changing an Oil Filter, even adjusting Valve Clearance is childs play.
I am known to my dealer, so much so that my previous car, an FD1 Civic was serviced by myself only, keeping all receipts for genuine parts, & manually filling in the log book. What did they do when car was traded......stamped the log book. Go Figure.
I will add to that, I change Oil & filter every 5,000km which is about every 10 weeks.
Now a 10,000 km service at my local dealer costs $180, Oil Change only. Oil, Filter & washer costs me $48, so that leaves $132 for labour ......to do what???????

hmmm on my 5k service with Honda dealer, beside oil change they did:
1. fill water to my wind screen wash
2. drive the car around for 2 minutes (not even add another kms to my odometer)
3. babling about how I should do wheel alignment
4. saying that the car is currently washed, but when it comes out its still dirty. I even purposely leave a hand print on the roof to see if they clean it well but they didnt even wash it at all
oh for extra bonus, they left a knife (big cooking knife) on the front passanger seat. (the knife cost $132 perhaps? )
Bye2 Honda... Hello Mazda family

in answer to ur original question...if his oil filters fitted his euro, and all hondas cept legend and nsx afta 1992 use the same oil filter...then yes they will fit your car.
hope that helps
also for euro, 30,000km service, ur pollen filter gets changed.

cheaper to pull it out every few months & blow it out with compressed air only about 10psi though, then they last a lot longer. while they are out you can spray it with your favourite fragrance....lol
