    Yeah, I've bought from interstate before, got the inspection and every thing, but was still disappointed with what i got, sure it was a neat car, but a few small things that the mechanic that looked at it said was Ok, turned out to be not quite so good...

    Not sure exactly what model it was. the sunroof was electric, but it wouldn't open by its self, with a little nudge up it would open by its self.

    Now I'm looking at another car, on these forums. Only prob is it was around 210k kms on it, how do these cars go with such high KMs?

    Civic's and Honda's in general are extremely reliable. 200ish kms does not seem to bother most engines as long as they are well looked after. You have to look at other thing's though such as CV's, gearbox, clutch, electrics, brakes etc. All these thing's will most likely wear faster than the engine.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I've sent the owner a PM, and awaiting response in regard to tyres / service...But i still much prefer the look of an EG over an EK...hmmm...

    I've just realised that the EG i was loking at up here, has a VTEC engine in it...I was under the impression none of the EG's came with a VTEC engine out of the factory here?

    yes Honda Civic Vti are the 1.6ltr Single Cam + vtec
    from 1993 - 1995

    and the other top of the line Civic that came into australia is the
    Honda Civic Si, 1.6ltr Twin Cam non Vtec
    both cars are similar
    both have four disc brakes

    ahh not really, you just have to be patience an you will find one for cheap.
    and depends what state you in also, most of these civics will be found in nsw,melb,qld.
    there are cheaper ones around. just have to search.

    Ah ok, well i talked him down a bit already, and he says the lowest hell go is 5.5k, is this a resonable amount?
