Hey guys i'm about to upgrade my front brakes to 282mm rotors but since i need to get my rotors redrilled to fit my ej8: ( btw there DBA rotors)

1.should i get it slotted and crossed drilled too since i'm doing it..?
2.would the disc crack/break under pressure too..?

If you're going for the looks and the bling factor then you'd want slotted and drilled rotors as there are articles saying that blank discs are the way to go. all you have to do is a search in ozhonda to find that out as its been previously discussed.

If you're after street looks with no track days (or maybe just once in a yonk) - cross drilled will look good.

If you're after something that will take track day abuse, then just get slotted (No cross drills)

Just a note on cross drills - its got to come pre-drilled from the factory and no just some machining workshop cross drilling it. Improper cross drilling can weaken the rotor structure as you're likely to drill through the internal vanes.

Cross drilled & slotted rotors will wear down brake pads much quicker than a blank disc or sloted rotor would to, consider this if your going to be doing alot of street driving, it may not be worth it cause youll be changing pads pretty often.

So u reckon best option for daily driving is slotted. . . ? but will this be okay if im doing this on a standard dba disc..?

Hes saying to buy rotors that are already cross-drilled, dont do it yourself as 9 times out of 10, you'd be damaging/weakening the rotor instead.

To summarise for you,
Best application for daily driven is BLANK rotors.
Best applciation for the occasional track day is SLOTTED rotors.

That said, running slotted for daily is ok too... but steer clear from cross-drilled rotors for daily use.

You can slot it yourself if you have the know how and access to the tools. Just make sure you don't go down below the minimum depth.

Yea i know how to do it with a cnc machine but ill see if i can grab standard ones for cheap

i called a few places and got quoted $290 for standard DBA
and $310 for the slotted so might do that.

btw is that cheap..?
