On a FD? Yeah it is a bad idea... not sure about the front... but the rear would be a no no. I have 18x7.5 +35 on my rear.. and at stock height it'll scrape on the guard around "spirited" corners... and with a person or two in the back its much worse.. have to drive extra slowly through corners.

Maybe massive guard roll might help... but ur rear rims will stick out of the guards and you might get defected for that.

so basically if they're 17s or 18s wat size n offset looks good? =D

    Very bad idea...

The rear's will be way too wide and having an offset of +35 its gonna stick out like no tomorrow... Your offsets are way too low for the fd man, esp with the 8.5 and 9.5. Even keeping it at stock height more than likely you'll have major scrubbing issues...

IMO the difference of the width of the tyres between the front and rear should be 0.5 although others may think otherwise..

mark on here has 17.5 +35, that sits flush with the guard i think, then my 18x8 +40 is like 1-2mm out a bit more, so id say 18x8.5 +45 is pushing it out a bit, then i reckon it would rub with the 2" drop, i think it will rub even on my setting =[. but there is also the issue of backspace, the wider u go the less clearance u got between the hub and ur springs.. so im doubting 8.5 can fit on our fds =/

here use this offst calculator thingy =D.

    http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

depends on tyre choice too, but imp retty sure ud go 225 with 8.5 width?

but then again i'm also only basing it on this website thing, and the fact mark rubs with 7.5 +35 =/... and his on stock height too, but ppl say 19x8 fits with a drop.. so tbh everyone says different things =.=.
