another exhaust question

howdy...

hope i dont get flamed 4 this but im doin an engine swap in the near future 2 my dc4 teg... slappin in a b18cr. Just wonderin if my stock gsi exhaust/headers will fit on the b18c... basically only need it 4 a week or so n coz i dont wana drive 2 an exhaust shop with no exhaust at all.

yeah i bought Toda power 4-2-1, JUN exhaust off a ITR , straight fit

im not sure if u understood my question... i meant: is a stocko GSi exhaust gona fit a b18c? Asin, do the headers line up n clear the block?

They will not fit on ur b18cr

if ITR exhaust.header fit onto GSi, what makes you think it wont work the otherway round

well.. the gsi n itr blocks hav different dimensions... perhaps the itr block sits lower hence itr headers can fit on gsi, but since gsi block is smaller the headers are shorter n won't clear the b18cr.

Im not sayin that itr block is bigger, im not sure, im just usin it as an exampple. Just coz 1 fit the other, it wont necessarily work the other way around.

its so weird, ive asked around n its about a 50/50 atm, just wana get 2 the bottom of this lol

who told you that?, all b series block are exactly the same size and shape just there cranks are different from B16-B20 . Headers bolt onto the head anywaiz.

im not a mechanic so i cant argue my point, but have had guys with a lot more experience than me tell me otherwise.
