If once you swap the inner hubs round and there's no vibration on accel, then there's no real point fitting spacers, the spacers usually are effective once the inner's begin to vibrate. You should be fine with just swapping them though. Good luck.

Theres two sides to every story. Much the same with S2K driveshafts. Honda do sell inner hub and joint for approx $450 each. They'll always tell you that you should replace the whole driveshaft. Which isn't necessary, as the inner joint is the one that wears and eventually breaks. Depending if your mechanically minded, i'd still swap them round myself and see what the outcome is. It's not a difficult job, more a messy one.

    My mate went to a re-valving / re-conditioning place.

$400 later (he too was quoted 1100-1200 from Honda), he says his car has never driven so good. Fixed all his problems.

Hey that's a pretty good price.
The only thing with a reco is, they either machine in the inside of the inner hub or replace it. No worries there, and they generally replace the three bearings, no problems there. BUT they don't replace the tri-star which attatches to the splines on the driveshaft. And that's what breaks. So they solve your vibration problem. I'll see if i can post a photo to explain, I've kept a few broken ones.

Well got it back it seems a little better with them swapped around but its still there. The mechanic advised the inboard joins are very worn, you can get these alone but still approx $400 each with the spider ect. Or get the complete shafts from ebay USA. So sick of spending so much money on my weapon :-( thinking of selling :-(

Just an FYI, I looked into prices of complete CV shafts from the US.

Going rate is $80US-$150US for a set, depending on their condition, KM's, and obviously the seller. Many are happy to sell them to you, so check on S2ki.com for an 04-08 parted out AP2 car.

Postage was around the $140US mark by airmail.

All cars suffer some letdown. bite the bullet, and go custom billet, with ball and cage inners. approx.$1500-$1600 for both and you'll never need worry again about driveshafts.

JUST POSTED THE BELOW ON NEW THREAD T1R SPACERS

    Hey all,
I just got my T1R spacers installed yesterday! IT’S THE BEST! Smooth as now, Got my mechanic to install as they were so dam tight and the driver’s side is harder as the exhaust runs past there. They are in half so makes it heaps easier to install.

I got them for JDM YARD for about $195 including postage these guys rock!

EK4R they are designed to make the CV sit where it should, if your S2K is lowered it moves the spider further out the cup (CV talk) and can cause premature wear, the spacers move it back in to where it is ment to be.

I have been chasing a vibration problem for a while no as per thread “VIBRATION NOTED AT TRACK DAY” swapped cups around worked a little bit but the T1R spacers Rock! I highly recommended this if anyone has a vibration and or is lowered they worked for me.
