can it be fix on FD2? =)

    i have 19x8 atm. with +42..
not lowered yet.. but it will be fine with fitment when lowered. by 2.5 or more inches. im looking to drop it by 3 or 3.5.

just remember when you lower your car you are going to get camber anyhow... so you might be lucky. just try it.. if you want you can get some camber kits for cheap

ekdez, if u lower urs on just springs do u think you'll rub? cos i know ur pretty keen to drop it on coils and that would save quite a bit of backspace issues wouldnt it? my 18x8 +40 with 2" drop seems i might have to have some good luck or its gonna fail =/

I think we're in the same boat when it comes to lowering... I want to lower mine, but with scrubbing issues at stock height.. lowering would have to give enough negative camber to put the top of the wheels behind the guard.

At stock height it's fine as long as noone is in the back.

Edit: Screw this what ifs... I'm gonna do it.. and if I can't move without scrubbing it's gonna get reversed... my car is being used as a wedding car in a couple of weeks.. and this would make it 'fully sic' .. oh.. not mine, but my bros wedding.

    Skunk2s here I come!!

    oh yeah i forgot LOL..

stock suspension circumference is MASSIVE where as the circumference of the coilover is thin.

im pretty sure with 19x8 with +42 the max drop with springs was 2 inchs.. hence why im opting for the coilover option, springs might be cheaper.. but in the long run your going to wish you bought coil's.

The issue with the coilover being thinner than stock would only help if your scraping against suspension at full lock etc...

My problem (and black8thGen I THINK) is we're worried about scrubbing against the guard at the back. So changing to coilovers wouldn't help because it's thinner... it would only help cos then I could set it to ultra stiff so it doesn't scrub against the guard.

Ok, I'll get it lowered... if it scrubs.. I'll try having the guard rolled... and if it still scrubs more than I can handle I'll change the springs back to OEM.

yeah.. im pretty sure it is only an issue with the rear guards, because the fronts can take quite a bit as ive heard. oh i was thinking of skunk2s as well haha, are u getting a set of new ones? damnitt i still dont hav my bloody rims =[. actually a 2" drop on 19x8 as max makes me and mark's setups sound sweet, not sure whats up with that then =/
