[CL9] Heatshield for aftermarket headers

Question for the guys with aftermarket headers. Have you done anything to reduce the heat emitted fromt the headers to the engine bay?

I don't want to take the headers off and wrap them in heat wrap...too much work

Is there a way to use the factory heat shield? Has anyone successfully re-used the heat shield?

I've got Comptech headers and i haven't bothered even trying to modify the OEM heatshield to fit them.I've had them on for approx.15mths.and no heat issues.
