    broken wipers

I was driving home tonight in the rain, which was the first time in ages that it seemed to rain in Melbourne.
Whilst driving the driver's side wiper assembly (the part where the wiper blade is attached too) seperated from the wiper arm (the metal part that moves back and forth).
Fortunately the wiper assembly didn't fall to the ground and I was able to reach it from inside the car by lowering the window.
When I got home I was able to slide the wiper assembly back onto the arm but there is nothing to hold it in place securely.
I need to go out later tonight and was wondering if it was likely that the same problem will happen again?
Has this happened to anyone before?

Took my car to Honda today and the wiper assembly has lost a little piece of plastic that allows it to connect and click into place when attached to the wiper arm.
Dealer will kindly replace the component under warranty.
