    cold starting problems

ive got myself a nice dc2r and in the mornings when i start it up, it revs really low (500rpm-) and ive got an engine starter on my alarm and it just dies..ive got to jump into the car, start it with the key, tap and hold the accelarator to keep the engine off the low rev point till it warms up. ive went to the mechanics, and the guy has told me that the cold starter thingo is what "could" be causing the problem. could it be it? ive searched the post here but i couldnt find anything about this. Any help would be greatful. thanks

500 is very low man! my car idles at around 1400 rpm when i start it and then slowly goes down and eventually rests at around 800rpm. never seen it as low as 500. Is your car due for service? maybe get throttle body cleaned.

just give it a good service to start with. your ig timing might be out as well (may need to be advanced) but just get a decent mechanic to check all that

yea, the revs are suppose to be high once the car is started and then drop down, but its not happening..

yea maybe the timing might need to be advanced. thats what i was thinking also. thanks for that sivic.
