I have only tried one redline clutch dump on the semis so far (to see how hard I could launch it) and the car was fine with it (was during hill climb event on a normal road surface). I would be a bit skeptical at launching hard on the drag strip though cause the level of grip is on a whole different level and very well could possibly snap something :P.
However for standard launches I am an utter noob and generally start around 4000 and modulate to 5000 depending on the surface to find an optimal rev range. Flat 16s is quite decent in our cars :P I know when I last went down with a horrid set of regals I was getting 16.2 or something crap like that launching at around 6000 cause I wanted to destroy the tyres haha.
One other thing with regards to semis is, despite what people say, I personally don't think they wear out stupidly fast. Well mine havent anyway haha. Maybe I am not driving hard enough but I cannot notice any tread loss after 2 hard driving events and putting around Collie in between.
Buy a set and see how you go next time and keep us updated

well, if anyone in brisbane could meet up with me a finish off the wiring for my foglights, that would be awesome. ive had them fitted on my car for about a month, but the wiring hasnt been fully connected.
my friend and i got a bit confused with the wires (yes, i know its not supposed to be that hard to install) so we've left them there and kinda forgot about them. anybody be willing to help get them up and running?

still researching prices, 55EXX (username on this forum) gave me a phone number of the place where he got his done - tint express or something, i'll forwad u the pm. he got 15% for 200 bucks which was not 'great' quality tint..
he's got 20% 3M tint now but cant remember how much he said it cost.. i think tint-a-car place would do it for 295 - midnight express or whatever the darkest legal they have which is 35%.. its legal but doesnt look that great, i want 20 but insurance n stuff..

Just buy them from Honda for 450 and then install them yourself, that's what I did, the install isn't that hard because they are oem and everything comes ready in the box. Including the stalk to turn on the fogs

including stalk hey.. but thats gonne be -> 450 - 150 = 300 price difference for genuine + a stalk haha.. is it the exact same stalk with the added little thing to turn the fogs off? or like an addition? - id rather a button on the side which i can flick to turn the fogs on n off but not too fussed really
how was installation for you? hard / easy? tips / diy link ? ^_^
