    Fixed my calipers! pics inside

    when i purchased my car the idiot before me had repainted them terribly took the time over the long w.e and got them done, overall i think they came out pretty good tell me what you think.

    After: 4 layers of paint and 3 layers of clear

    Looks great!!!
    I recently bought a 2nd hand car and the previous driver had the calipers painted too.

    He literally took off the wheel, grabbed a spray can and started spraying the caliper. Even the disc hub and brake lines had paint on it.... lol noob

    Hmmm are those vinyls and clear coat heat resistant? was going get mine done with industrial grade heat resistant powder coats... but dont have spare car...

    yeh i sanded, steel brushed them and cleand them with a degreaser

    i then used a septone red caliper paint:
    Septone Brake Caliper & Drum Paint is a premium quality, self priming, heat resistant paint that provides a highly durable finish, resistant to extreme heat, corrosion, brake dust, salt and water.


    after 4 layers of that i used a VHT clear gloss:


    and after 3 layres of that i got my the final result

    its pretty easy to do i did one side (front and back calipers in 3 hours) but the gloss takes overnight to dry

    thats alot of layers there boss. turned out a treat though! is the vinyl heat hesistant though? any chance of the s2000 vinyl melting?
