[QLD] Personalied rego plate quick question

Dont know the laws / rules down in other states, but Ive seen a few cars with single letter rego plates ' P ' ' Q ' and a few others, I tried seen the availability of a 2 lettered rego plate on the ppq.com.au site and it states that a minimum of 3 characters is mandatory? Anyone confrim this or know of the rule changes disabling people to have 1 or 2 character rego plates?

you can only get the 2 letter or single ones from auctions

would cost the amount of the av. house deposit as well

3 letters are about as little as the normal person can get, and even they're a tidy sum at $2295...

or you just wait around for someone with a Q plate forsale

    ‘78’ ($240,000-$320,000),
    ‘66666’ ($25900-$35,000),
    ‘228’ and ‘883’, ($50,000-$80,000)
    ‘2008’ and ‘2088’ ($35,000-$50,000)
    ’10,888’, ’20.222’ and ’20.888’ ($20,000-$30,000).
I think '6' was sold for over $1million? not 100% sure.

But number plate 1 in Dubai sold for $15million US.
