    Upper Arm/Hat EG

    Wisdom anyone?

Just changed my front kuckles from 243mm EG brakes to 262mm EK.

The upper arm (kind of a fork shape) didn't fit so just used current ones, which have diff mounting points and a 'T' piece behind the spring for strength I think.

The camber etc and dimensions seemed similar so looks/feels fine.

My main issue is the bolt running from the upper arm into the top of the knuckle has broken off where the split pin hole is, meaning no split pin and only part thread holding it in. It was already like this so has survived so far but would like to FIX it... Any ideas? Replace upper arm? Can the bush and bolt section be pressed out and replaced? Could I put some kind of 'lock tight glue or cement' up inside the thread to make it safe?

Am off to Wakefield in 2 weeks so want to get it right for little cost!

    Thanks!

You need to replace the upper arm. The ball joint cannot be pressed out in the upper arm, you can change the rubber boot but not the ball joint itself.

Locktite won't work, even JB weld wont work. hmm.. haven't actually tried JB welding it but i can bet $10 it'll break. hehe.

    As stated in manual.

Upper arm only cost $20 maybe? I bought mine from mugenpower168 for $10.
