Koni rear coilovers

Hi guys

this is a bit of a long shot but I'm arranging an experimental rear coilover setup for my project car, what I need to know is if anyone has photos of a rear Koni Yellow EG6 (I think?) shock which is not the fork type; with a coilover sleeve?

My current project car has an independent rear with the shock mounted at the very end of the control arm and the spring further forwards closer to the pivot point of the arm/s and I want to eliminate the spring and just run a shock setup with a coilover sleeve and top hat so that I can alter the height without changing springs all the time.

Just need some specs such as spring length and diameter, together with the diameter of the mounting point at the bottom and obviously some photos.

"Ground Control" is a brand of coil over sleeves which do exactly this.
There's plenty of others.

Yes but I'm after is an image of the actual shock body together with a coilover sleeve.

the shocks that I have atm are a simillar design but dont have provisions for a spring platform as such.

and I know that the rear shocks out of a EG6? have a eye bolt up setup opposed to a fork like DC2s etc etc

I think I should have been a bit more clear since it is not for a Honda. The factory setup on my project car requires the use of an eye bolt mounting onto the control arm.

as far as I know the ground control coilover sleeves sit onto either that spring seat which in turn sits on that circlip, or a perch which is welded onto a MacPherson strut tube.

I'm planning on grabbing some Koni yellows for a DC2R or EG6 with the eye bolt mount, then slip on the ground control coilover sleeve with 500lb springs and make up a upper spring hat to suit.

very simillar to what has been done in the photo below but without that crappy clamp on the bottom of the sleeve.

this kit once landed is way over priced since the aus $ is so sh*tty atm and I'd rather do the same but with Koni yelows and as per described above, just needed to know what the DC2R/EG6 rear shocks looked like.

It sounds like you'd be needing much more detailed info, however.

That's a picture of an AGX shock.
You want premium so, it's gonna cost, no way around it.

GC's are a quality piece with many Km's to back it up.
You really think you can do better?

Closest I can think of is the koni catalogue.
Look towards the back for the spring perches & stuff.

If you think GC is $$$, better take a breath.
Then try and find a local stockist.

Yes I actually wouldn't mind a drawing or an actual used shock that I can muck around with and use as a guinea pig.

I have a supplier which I have purchased many items from in the past and does goo deals with Koni shocks, I'm already running some on the front of my car (yellows) whic I got for $470 a pair incl shipping.

I expect the rear shocks to be rounghly around that same price if not less and plan on making a complete package and sell them as a kit.

No I don't think I can do better, and I also run these on the front of my car atm, I reckon they're great and very easy to adjust, I plan on also purchasing the same DIY GC kit for the rear once I've found out what shock to use.

I will look into it further and once I've worked out a shock and spring length/rate I'll put it together and post up some pics.
