Help! Terrible insurance repairs to 4month old Civic (+pics)

i think it pays to get your own quotes, at places that have been recommended by friends/family that have had experience a panel beater.

for example, my mums fd, had some front end damage and had some damaged to radiator support area as well as the front bumper. this 'aami approved' centre fixed the bumper only (looked good from outside) but didnt even bother fixing the damage that was behind the bumper.
we didnt find this out until we had another panel beater spray the bumper (yes another bump) where the panel beater had took off the bumper to see the damage was left unrepaired underneath.

bullshit, its 100% AAMI's fault, id give the car back to them and say either pay me out or give me a rental until this things had everything replaced again. that shits not on. it wasnt AAMI who skimped out on repair costs.... OH WAIT IT WAS

That story still gives me faith in my insurer (AAMI), I won't be bailing on them just yet, even though they broke all my clips and didnt replace them (which i sorted out) and left overspray on my plastic roof bits.

Tried that they just tell you to read your policy and brush you off. Dealing with AAMI internal Ombudsman will come to no luck either. As I said you will would need to get contacts to the higher ups at AAMI.

Feel sorry for you mate. I've been through similar experiences before, although not as bad as yours.

As for the interior, its actually quite common to find some overspray getting in and settling on the dash and trims. Most should be easy to wipe off, but if the stains are stubborn I suggest you get a quote from a professional car detailer. They will have the proper products and tools to safely clean your interior without scratching or marking them.

No harm getting one of them to have a look at your car first, as this would be much better than getting a replacement dash installed by another dodgy repairer (IF you even get a replacement dash approved)!

aami sucks, they rode my car off for damaged doors..

anyway just complain and complain, and dont stop till u get what u want. legal advice is expensive, just use threats haha...but make sure u provide evidence, IE photos and etc.

from experience similar situation happened to a relative of mine, they ended up respraying her entire car for her.

so.. hope this helps, as a law student, aami is an agent acting on your behalf to fix up your car to the condition it was before the accident, so as a result they have the liability for the unrepaired damages, damages that resulted from poor repairs and losses you suffer resulting directly from this incident. if u are unhappy with the repairs, u can find the shop that did the work from aami, they are the third party, u can sue either of them but usually u go for the ones with the deeper pocket.
