    xforce twinloop rattling/buzzing sound?

    hi all,

i recently got hold of an xforce twinloop (s10) which i got welded on. only a few days after it was installed, i noticed it made a rattling noise at around 2000rpm and under. the sound is like a loose screw or bolt.

i cant seem to figure out whats wrong either. any help before i go to a mech?

i should suggest trying to identify exactly where its coming from, could be as simple as some rocks caught up near the exhaust.

your cat could be gone. usually dead cat converters rattle, like as u mentioned.
get someone to be outside when ur reving it to see where the rattle/buzzing sound is coming from.

Yeh it does sound like it's from the muffler. Its a bolt on so I'll try my stock one again and see if the rattle is still there.

Yeh it's definitely the muffler. LOL no cat problems. Everything else is solid when knocked. A mech just told me it's the muffler after inspectin it. Will contact xforce tmr. Thx for the replies too ppls

yeh. i had the same prob with my xforce cat back system i bought from felix here. the inner baffles or something come loose and vibrate. they wouldnt replace it, so i cut mine off and put a cannon on instead.

Also got the same problem with my S12 twinloop. Only happens when the car is cold and very low rpm though.
