you are right that i used it , but not in a negative suggestive or directive context. Its descriptive of what some members think of "mods".

Some good points on both sides - I speak on belhaf of all mods that some times "We" need a kick in the ass with our editing and posting in general. We ARE human the same as YOU lot. Myself definitley included.

Problem is , it is always in situations like this (world vs nazi mods) that the trolls in people come out of the woodwork and search for examples of our bad work - post a link but never bother to point it out before.

Regardless of how much zco helped out people off this forum , his thread was shut down otherwise because it breached our terms and conditions. Zco gets no special treatment compared to any other member to noob alike.

you may say you need a kick in the butt, but when

they are speaking in terms of my 2nd thread. wynode closed it as he assumed and indirectly implied that i used forums purely for selling. even posted a link trying to show me all the threads i created..

i create new threads to keep it clean, so new users dont have to sift through the rubbish posted in relation to older items. there are other members that have sold more stuff than i have.

if you are calling me a troll, then perhaps you should read the entire thread.. i brought up a comment Qball made last week outside of ozhonda, and he justified his actions. so fair enough, if thats how he wants to talk to people, and think its okay, then we should be following what the moderators do. they set examples for the rest of us right ? so when i make the exact same comment to him, he realises it doesnt feel so nice to be talked to liek that, gets abit touchy and everyone suffers with whiplash.

yes, we are all being mature about it by discussing this in a discussion forum. its never going to change if its a one on one conversation, as the mod will always think the user is the only one that has a bad attitude, and shoves it aside. by opening this to the public for them to judge themselves, it will possibly send a message.

as for all the guys that have shown some form of understanding of my perspective, thanks a whole heap. however, i do urge further comments to be positive about the situation, and to not attack any moderators..

We haven't completed our discussion regarding the thread in question however here are my comments (in point form in no particular order):

• As ben has said, moderators are not perfect and looking at the thread in concern (zco's FS thread) I think the actions made in that thread were justified. I can't say I agree with some of the comments made by the moderator but that is something that I will be raising with him. This includes moderator etiquette. zco, if you had a problem with Q's comment towards you in that other thread, then you should have brought that up at the time instead of bringing it up now.
• You asked for this thread to be open zco and I obliged. Why? Because as I always say I am open to member feedback. If I wasn't, this thread wouldn't be open and we would not be discussing this whole issue.
• zco, you will know the outcome of our decissions when we tell you so please do not pressure us into what we are discussing re your FS thread. I did not mean to imply that you do not contribute to this site by linking your FS threads so do not jump to conclusions. My point was that the OH FS section is of great interest to you and hence why there is such a fuss being kicked up.

Hopefully this thread won't turn to crap before we can make a decission.

just a thought if the term is offensive to some maybe in future try not to use it in any form

after all people tend to mimic the actions that they see (as in zco's example of the words exchanged between himself and Qball)

maybe in times where you may use the term lead by example and try to coin a new catch phrase such as overzelous mods ect

The term fck is offensive, yet everyone uses it in some form that is not in the context of swearing (i.e. this is fcking difficult). So you cannot blanket ban the term. You always have to look at the context that it is being used in.

the moderators can't run it 24 hrs a day because they have a life outside of OH unlike some people that post on OH almost everyday.
you should be so lucky the site admin doesn't delete the spam thread or even worse - make the users pay to be a part of the OH community.
these guys are trying their best to keep this forum fair to all members whether the members contribute to the forum or not.

just remember that everyone makes mistakes, everyone gets mad and not everyone knows everything.. mods included.
