    that is true.
depends on your budget i spose and personal preference, and what you think works better for your engine.

    hey mate
i just baught my VTi-R and bought a brand new Injen CAI from a mate still in the box with the plastic.
He paid 450 for it and i bought it for 250
It is the best thing ive done to the car to date, you lose very slightly in the low revs but the power if exceptional and the vtec is so much louder and feels slightly more agressive

    A piece of shit
Spoon / Trust foam filter, in DC2R airbox, with 3-4" aircon piping to front bar, with the removal of the air box resinator --> Works a treat, and cheap too!!

If you just want Bling... then Ingen or AEM CAI.

I used a K&N Filtercharger njection Perfomance kit # 57-3506, it is a sri made for the DC2.
All that has to be done pull out the old air box and put the new filter in, it uses the stock pipe and it is about an hour's woth of work, if you diy i recomend the use of an air wrench.
This does change how it sounds but it gives it a nice roar.

Heres what it looks like when its done

I had some cash to play with when I was looking into buying my intake, I ended up getting a Mugen intake, injen was another option but I wanted something abit quieter

ive got an ITR injen intake on my vtir, it just fits lol
i bout it off a mate for 250 and he bought for 450.

i think different companies use different designs and also filters make a big difference
