Phil from memory they're some where around 4kg front and 5.5-6 rear.

DC5's are generally 1kg front and 1.5-2kg rear heavier!

thanks man. so it seems most JDM aftermarket springs uprate the rear much more than the front (comparatively). i guess to induce more oversteer.

i got all mounts in, feels soooooo shhhaaakkkyyyy, but i still get a noise from the steering column, would anyone no the issue here? my mech told me it was cause the mounts were putting stress on the steering column so it makes noises like rubber rubbing so its squeeky, would it be a seal around the column?

so im assuming from the silence that no-body has had a mount brake on a face-lift model yet?

if tru then theres a chance it doesnt mean much, with them not being as old, but that means theres also a chance they fixed the prob for FL model.

Yeah, I'll be using DC5 springs as they're a heavier rate

Its been said various times that after market mounts cause vibrations through the car!!!!

The steering wheel shake is just the centre (horn) vibrating against the steering wheel.

Mounts break due to usage and age and has no baring on whether its a FL or not! nor is it the fact that there was a problem!

The fact that its a face lift just means its newer!

i think it's more a case of FL being newer and less kays then improvement.

i understand your point - but a 2002 models with the same kms as a 05 model are having probs with mounts left right and centre, whilst no-one has mentioned a prob with FL model.

there are plenty of sports cars that get thrashed and dont need new mounts after 40,000ks - i know alot of people personally who have owned them.

when a FL model is released they sometimes make 100's of small changes based on user feedback, recalls, and common repaired problems from the previous model - so its not out of the question that they could have changed something.

we havnt seen any FL models with steering rack issues, or gearbox issues in 2nd and 3rd either. Correct me if im wrong here though, im simply stating that its possible they ironed out a bunch of issues.

    end rant

either way, all respect to u mate, i know u help alot of ppl on these forums with good advice. keep it up.
