    DC5R uses H1 hid,
    all aftermarket hid are defectable,
try to go with 6000k, white colour, less chance of getting defected .

6000k is good enuf, 8000k is asking to much and other drivers would just be completely blind. not completely, but its a BTCH!

Why would 8000k blind others more than 6000k when 8000k have less light output? Also, the fact that 6000k is more white than 8000k in colour would mean that 6000k would be more blinding...

Try shining a bright white LED torch into your eyes, then try one that is more blue... I can guarantee you the white would hurt more...

Edit: Also to the thread starter, as previously said, all HIDs are defectable, but 8000k will be more noticeable to a cop as it would have more tinges of blue/purple...

i have 8000k on my car i dont see any prob with cop hassling. just noticable due to the blueish.

i dont think it would blind people

just make sure you adjust the height of the light direction soo yea

i reckon cops are abit lenient on HIDs

    Damn, beat me too it!

I would go for Kaixen HID's but the 5000K ones... they are white. The 6000K's are good too. But if I could choose again, i'd use the 5000K - for more visablility.
