Still, that's selling for $0. And this section is for discussion, not sales. He should be receiving heaps of PMs on his free car.

Isn't all the advice that people are offering on this forum also selling for $0?

Advice has no monetary value.
Hence the fine print (no warranty if you blow your engine up following my advice). Hehe

I wish lawyers, accountants, financial planners etc adhered to those principles.
Your advice is very good. Sometimes I think you should actually receive something for the advice you give. I'm sure you wouldn't say no to that.

If the provider of advice discounts its value of this advice, how good is the advice to begin with? If they are giving away the advice, doesn't this show that they don’t themselves value this advice and so it is worthless?

You could think about it in that way. Qualified advice (the ones you get from lawyers and doctors) are worth money. But advice on a forum that is given in goodwill to help someone else out has no monetary value. It is worth it only to someone who is able to solve their problem using that free advice.

i just finalised my negotiation today. got the buran silver 09 model (built 08 i guess) standard auto for $37K incl. rear parking sensor, mats, touch up paint, front fog lights, leather gear knob, 6 yrs warranty (3 yrs factory & 3 yrs dealership) and fuel tank of petrol.
I went to see some dealership but face to face they seemed realy firm on prices. so i decided to call around approx 7 dealerships. Got knocked back from a few but after gong back and forth from one dealer to another dealer by simply say " i got offered...etc can u match? if you can match, i can put a deposit via credit card TODAY" i finally got it. Not totally happy coz i read some posts they said they got theirs for 33 or 34K however bear in mind they have increased their prices. and if they serious cant do it, they cant do it.
also, depends on the dealer, if they have stocks that they purchased prior to the price increase, theycan do it cheaper for u.
oh sh*t i just realised i didnt ask for metallic or pearlescent. i thought it would come with the colour you choose... far ou... arggghhhh

Then again you have to show you are a serious customer.
I am goin to push for 35K drive away with, i hope mats, full tank of petrol (which is rare these days) metallic paint.
Maybe even 34K. But he seemed like there he wasnt going to budge to much from that 38k. Im going back there this weekend. I tried 3 Honda dealers here in Syd and they all gave me the same price.

Congrats on your purchase.
You have a pretty good bargain already.
Buran silver is metallic.

Congratulations on your purchase nnn37 and don't worry all Euro's are metallic by standard, manufacturer (Honda) just decided to stick a $300 "tax" on metallic paint - so this is perhaps where you could push the dealer a bit more for last drop of discount
