Thread: exhaust query

    exhaust query

just wondering whether a bolt-on (appears to be cat-back) exhaust system which is advertised for a sedan would fit a coupe as well?

I had an exhaust on my Sedan SI and bolted it up to my EM1 ...

They were a little bit different, but nothing that was preventing the exhaust from bolting on.

Thanks LVNIT, so it should basically fit into the same position should it? Is it just the length between the end of the bumper and the tip of the exhaust that varies or does it look significantly out of place?

    edit

this is off an EK, going onto an EJ8 will that make a difference cause you had an EG sedan?

Also can anyone tell me the factory bore size?

I cant give you a 100% answer on this because the cars are different.

I wouldn't think that there was large differences in the exhaust shape and length, but there are differences in CAT length. For example, my EG had a smaller cat where the EM1 had quite a large cat...

That could be the difference in your situation

As far as I know there is less space for a rear muffler on the hatchback then on the sedan. (Not 100% sure though).
