kenf - if someone smashes your window like they did to mine, the tint does sh1t all but hold small sections up which didn't get fully shattered.

Thats what i was trying to say. I saw the pics of your window. Terrible. But the person who smashed yours must've pushed it in or hit it multiple times, If someone was hit on the windscreen, it'd be 1 impact, not a a few. .... unless of course you hit the person intentionally....multiple times, or you hit 10 ppl in a row.

if you're going to deliberately hit someone in your pride and joy then why do you care about the windscreen smashing?

You wouldn't tell them because window excess costs more than repairing the window.

NRMA quoted me $600 for the broken window and i got my mate to order in window from HA and all up cost me $400 with it fitted. (Front passenger side window)

In actual fact it doesn't make the screen stronger at all.
For that qualification to be made correct, you'd have to have a 21 ply film SECURITY film applied and that means a film 10 times thicker than normal film.
    That ain't going to happen.

20% films are illegal and always have been and insurance companies know that and therefore a way to absolve them of a claim if need be.

tinter, so do you agree that if you tint the front window and you happen to hit someone it will cause more injury to the pedestrian, an you will be in alot of trouble?
