    please help massive problem

hi all i just got this instaleld in 3rd gen sol crx.

I just went and got my car audio all professionally installed, and driving it on the way back home the sub blew. Smoked, most defintley not going to live again. both my amps, the head deck and everything else is completely working and fine.im worried that JB hi fi wont cover it or the installer. also i had a 3000w monoblock sound storm to power the subwoofer however this was from my old car and do not have a recipet or the original box.

i baught the jl audio splits, sub, 2 channel amp and head deck form jb and a local installer did the work. i only supplied the amp myself which is working.

who foots the bill how does it work? im completely stressd out and burnt massivley

advice or expereince would help so much.

    thanks all.

    soundz like it was overpowered....
did u warm the system up before pumpin it... you can say yes even if the answer is no, whos to know...

find out what was the cause of the problem then play pin the blame
    what type of sub???

if its dual voice-coil he could have wired it incorrectly on the terminals on the back of the woofer...

talk to JB... and explain how u got it installed by the local installer lalala see what they can do
