    What's wrong with this??

    Hi guys,

just doing some checks so took apart the coilpacks and checked my spark plugs... and note my car only has done (54,000kms).

I was told that with if tip is gray and those burning marks means my car is running lean?? Car does feel laggy sometimes... could it be wrong air/fuel mixture? Does everyone else looks similar? Is this normal?

But today i have bought all of this and plan to do a full service myself... Might reset the ECU when i put new plugs in and see what happens...

My dealing with plugs through racing...

I have only read plugs from the electro end havent had any experience with the terminal end. Ideally the area surrounding the current conductor should be a tan/cream colour and there should be a consistant gap between the conductors on all plugs. When it starts to turn a white colour you are running too lean or too hot, and on the other end of the scale, obvously if it is wet and black you are running too rich.

That brown coloured ring on the white insulator part is normal, as long as it doesn't cover the whole white section. That's just the staining from corona discharge.

Clean your injectors and maybe try filling up at different servos!

    Hey guys,

    just FYI,

I've added some nulon fuel additives for fuel injector cleaning.

    -did spark plugs change
-did oil and oil filter change
    -did transmission oil change
    -did differential oil change
    -did radiator flush and refill
    -cleaned throttle body
    -did ECU reset

DRIVE IS SO IMPROVED!!!! Smoother gear changes, acceleration from 1-4000rpm seems so much better than b4 (had sort of flat spots b4), less noise coming from the back! But i find the whining gear noise more audible than b4.

I don't think it is running lean from your pics. Could you take a clear closeup photo of the electrode?
