Hey Lauren, welcome to OzH. I hope you find what you're looking for but i do recommend you to change the transmission over to man if you're going to chuck a turbo in.

5-6k? for what? everything you have in mind? or just the engine conversion?

I hope you dont plan on a full leather interior with heaps of tv's in your car... Not a big fan of ricer civics.. The clean cut JDM look is the best

You can easily pick up a B16A/B18C2 half cut for $3k-$3.5k and then you're looking at $1k MAX for installation...

Goodluck aye, hopefully you'll end up sticking with the civic with a nice new engine

whats wrong with leather if it looks nice and have the balls to back it up then step back... i've got three screens being installed, suede black roof, with a massive power plant of a motor, plus jdm parts...
    best of both worlds...

    welcome to ozhonda
    Home of the jdm fanatics...lol...

But the greatest mod you can do for your car is improve your driving skills.
An engine swap would be good for an excuse to swap out that slushbox auto.
I just think you should make sure you have your attitude towards driving right before putting too much power through the Civic.
i think my driving attitude is great thank you very much. this is the first non-turbo car i've ever owned. i wrote off the skyline coz i wasn't paying attention - not because i was driving like a wank.
