Two versions of Honda's i-VTEC system can be found on K series engines; variable timing control (VTC) can be found on the intake cam of both versions. The VTEC system on engines like the K20A3 only operate on the intake cam; at low RPM only one intake valve is fully opened, the other opening just slightly to create a swirl effect in the combustion chamber for improved fuel atomization. At high RPM, both intake valves open fully to improve engine breathing. In engines such as the K20A2 found in the Acura RSX Type-S, the VTEC system operates on both the intake and exhaust valves, allowing both to benefit from multiple cam profiles

Yes, that's what I said, VTC works only on the intake cams.

What you quoted said that in addition to having VTEC on intake and exhaust cams.

 d16 > *
So much torque when combined with stock gearing. Drove an EG with it and I reckon it has more pulling torque in the same gear and same RPM (1500rpm) than my 2.4L engine.

so VTC is only a fuel saving thing, and vtec is still both cams using the 3rd lobe when vtec kicks in??
sorry im lost....quite easy to do that to me

VTC on intake cam for fuel saving and midrange torque, and you still have 3-lobe VTEC on both intake and exhaust cams for some high RPM screaming goodness.

RIIIIGHT, bloody hell, confuse the shit out of me, so the benifit of the k20a2 having a cam open on eighter side would be better torque/power?

What do you mean by the cam being open on either side?

Different. RBC is shorter and fatter than PRC. RBC is used on FD2R and USDM Civic Si.
