I'd be cutting off the plug connector (leaving 10cm's of wire for re-connecting if you ever pull the seat out) or at least splicing those wires and doing a proper twist, solder, heat-shrink connection with that resistor.
If you get someone in your back seat and they accidentally kick it - if the pins touch or open/close circuit and the airbag control unit see's a an irregularity etc it may deploy an airbag.
I wouldn't be taking any chances mate. Cheap quick fix though!![]()
