maybe you can color code the bump strips/skirts or something.
i did mine (ej8) for only 25 bucks per side (silver). $50 total inc. plastic undercoat, two cans of paint, and clear coat on top. better then paying a bodyshop to do it!

imo , save yourself the trouble, buy a new carpet ! in that case do your door trims, door trims set it off but make sure you do a good job and research at the glue
