only difference between buying from ebay and 999 is that you can easily get a refund/exchange if you buy it within australia. otherwise its the same quality and they're all made in asia anyway.
if your worried about quality, the owner before me had some Ebay HID installed in my car and have been in car for a while (over 2 years) and not given any trouble. But it is true about getting a warranty/return job with ebay, you will probably pay as much to post item back to the ebay seller.
Bought a HID kit from ebay a few weeks back, noticed the beam of light twitched/flickers a little bit. It isn't noticeable when driving, but when the light is aimed at a wall or another car you can notice it abit. A mate of mine also has the same probelm from the HID he bought off ebay as well. We both bought from the same seller so just his kits might just have defects. I can't remember the sellers name, but on the site it had a video on the bottom explaining what HID's were.
pretty much everyone has HID from china, if you got good jap ones, id expect you pay more than 400 bucks. but the quality is so awsome. even the box they come in is cooler lol~
Have purchased about 10kits from various stores on ebay for various cars. I think i've had to return one ballast and 1 set of globes back (wrong temp). As everyone is saying, Sending stuff back o/s is a pain in the arse however you can save money. $155 isn't huge, the last single order I got off ebay was for $170 as I wanted to see if the quality was any better then the last store I brought from. Ballast's won't be your problem. Decent globes is what you need to find!
