i dont think so, when i had my car up, and had a look the resonator sits back behind the passenger fender liner (plastic crap) almost directly above the drive shaft IIRC, the actual piping comes down and behind the battery and it didnt come anywhere near the foglight housing (mine is vti and doesn't have fogs) so it shouldnt interfere.

All i did was rip out the resonator, chop the snorkel and then using the battery mounting point, pointed it down towards the drive shaft (approximately 50mm above) and with the snorkel end facing forward, to also avoid any hydrolock i disconnected the rubber flange from my intake to the snorkel and left approx 50mm gap.

So far all it has done is made my intake sound b*llsh*t loud and i don't feel any gains at all hahaha.

    will post pics if needed

    hey guys,

ive got a problem here... got myself in buying a front strut brace and it connects to the bolts on top of the front towers, however the bolts are tight as i cant get myself in trying to unscrew it

any thought on how to loosen the bolts on top of the front towers?
as you know its hard to reach the bolts as the front towers are under the plastic coverings.. hard to get lik a bolt gun in to loosen
prob coz i installed coilovers, the guy who did it must have tighten the bolts hard

When i put mine in, it was a super tight fit and i had to notch out a bit of the black plastic and slide in from memory a 11mm socket + ratched inside?

was a super tight fit but it did work!

im giving away a MASSIVE secret here....
use a vaccum cleaner hose at the end of the ratchet... so it creates a bigger turning point = less effort!!!
    but shh,......

its hard enough to put a ratchet inside there.. is there anyway to take off the side plastic covering.. it looks deadset connected to the pillars

also, coz u have to remove that plastic covering to see the front towers, and once u put in the strut bar 3pt.. is there problems with water goin into the engine bay?

Yes u can take off the plastic covering. Look towards the edge of the engine bay you'll see black plastic parts, you gotta take that off first on both sides. Then you literally use force to pull the middle plastic bit off.

Use WD40 to spray the nuts and use a breaker bar to take it off.

    Hope that helps
