I would never pay that much, as most Ive seen have younger blokes prob in thier 3rd yr working on my pride and joy and they can be sure I wont pay more than 60-70hr if thats the case and Im still raw at paying that much (I see their rate at less than 30hr as I cansee them potentially not doing the job right first time)

then Id still will end up driving to NSW as too many ppl I know here in QLD pay good dollars for average/below av. work and av. tune

Meh just do it all yourself...its the easiest thing to do. I can understand the timing belt can be a little hard for some young numbs but its still manageable with some advise. Save yourself a crap load...

i only ever go to a performance workshop for tunes...Not confident enough to do them myself.

yea drop 600 for a tune everyblue moon is reasonable
then again my buddy just paid a hair under 8k for a new snail, boost pc and software with tune to get his current setup to 18psi and 300rwhp
Id never bother changing a timing belt on a fwd unless the engine was already out, too much work, soo someone else's job as it comes up every 100000ks... thats just me anyhow

I personally dont value the time for me to waste my weekend on something that comes up once in 10yrs lol
like many other time conscious consumers

you can save yourself buy doing the smaller servicing work yourself.

but a major service would be roughly 400-600 total.
