I saw that Carmate's lip has come into topic here.

A mate of mine is a fitter there (top bloke) and If anyone is interested I can enquire as to see how the fitment of the lips are and where they come from.

Basically he said he can look into where/who makes the lips and then he should be able to tell how easy/hard it will be to fit it.

    Just a thought

out of curiosity which carmate lip were you talking about? because afaik they only have replica mugen half bumper for cd5 not jtcc's.

    like this (for 94/95):

they dont even have one like below (for 96/97) look carefully at the bumper indicators:

Spoonaccord, used to have that same front mugen lip

You'll find some old posts from him hidden in the accord section, or you can find him in the CRX section.

yeah i know but i was implying the fact that carmate might only have the one for 94/95. it doesn't have one for 96/97 (yes, they look so similar that you might think they are the exactly same but they are different if you look around the bumper light...

mugen only ever made four types of cd5 accord front lip:
    1. mugen half bumper (for 94/95) only fits 94/95 bumper (carmate only has this i think and even so, its replica and highly doubt of fitment)
    2. mugen half bumper (for 96/97) only fits 96/97 bumper
    3. mugen front chin spoiler/lip (for 96/97 only) as seen in 1996 jtcc accord (japan touring car championship) - very extremely rare!!
    4. mugen front chin spoiler/lip (for 96/97 only) as seen in 1997 jtcc wide-body accord - very very very extremely rare, nobody in the world has this but honda/mugen (in mugen museum)

1 & 2 look very similar and if you dont notice it, you might think they are the same.

i have pictures of all of those lips mentioned above if someone is interested but dont ask me how to get 'em lol...

you still can possibly get genuine mugen half bumper in thailand tho...

hey there =) yeah i believe you inspired me to be back in the game man lol well after seeing your car in person, i felt that i should of not sold my white vti-s. i love accord specially cd accord and part of me is telling me that i should get another one so i bought that jtcc mugen lip for my next cd accord lol trust me you dont want to know how much i paid for it man lol... that was the last piece.

the modulo of yours is one of my favourite lips ever. if i have spare cash, i would get another one (imported of course). i think yours is the only one in aus at the moment. i would suggest to bolt it on using some sort of screws or something... to make uninstalling/installing easy and use only on some occasions lol...

very hot sir accord with modulo in malaysia:

post pic of yours man hehehe...

after looking around the world... literally for rims, ive decided on these aussie Speedy Fin II - light weight rims

    there 17x7.5's

they look even better in the flesh, & go with the chrome outer trim nicely imo.

Should have them mid week... pic's to come.
