i thort they only made power to 8500? alot of dyno graphs of seen of S2Ks have shown this so why bother reving so hard with a stock motor.

thats the same with alot if not all cars the redline is just a safezone incase of over rev it doesnt mean reving ur car into the redline is were the most power is....

A centrifugal blower makes more boost the higher the revs.

Its only at around 9500rpm where the benefits of more revs cancel out due to the blower being at its maximum spin capacity.

seeing as though we're talking about s2000's and their revs.. hypothetically i forgot my engine was cold.. decided to rev upto 7k without noticing and it cuts off.. how bad would that be for the engine..?

The ECU has a cold start cut off.

Its normal, its just protecting the engine.

8300 is peak power on a stock F20C.

So why does it rev to 9200?

Simple, so that when you change up at redline you are close to max power in the next gear.

I didnt wanna start a new thread for this and get another warning BUT i just wanted people to see what a stock motor can do in a lighter car. It is an F20C engine but not in an S2000 (just in a lighter car ) So everyone should put their S on a diet haha. Oh and it only rev's out to 9200.

I didnt wanna start another thread again for this.. but someone claims an s2000 can go from 0-100 in 2nd gear with no throttle being opened until take off in 8 seconds.

If no one understands that what im trying to say is. Take off in 2nd gear (traveling at 0kmh) and no rev dumping into 2nd either.
