Thing's with converted H22a EG/DC2 are the terrible axle position with the aftermarket mounts (hasport). For daily comuting it wont be such a problem. If you wanting to race it down the track then ill consider another option -H2B. Dollar value the H22a wins.

Absolutely. The driveshaft angles are terrible for drag racing and you will find you will break CV's like no tomorrow. Either make up some custom mounts or a from what I have read a H2B conversion.

so in reguards to the H2b converion, its obiously a b series gear box with an adapotor plate? and so dus that 'fix' the driveshaft angles to make braking cv joints less likely? by moving the box 2 a more suitable angle or position?

sorry im really new to this sort of thing, also how much are these h2b conversions worth? id imagine that it would be a buy and import item from the US or somthing

    cheers

Im considering going down the same path, still saving $$$ LOL. the h2b is pretty much simply a b series conversion, except with a h series motor. Theres two main adapter kits, the evolution or QSD, but with the h2b the motor sits more straight so hood clearance would be an issue.
From what Iv read up the evolution kit makes it sit slightly lower than the QSD, for an EK with the evolution kit the hood should close without spacers.
you'll have to roughly calculate how much its goner cost, iv calculated over 7k minimum thats not including engineering costs or brake upgrade.

im asking approx how much for a h2b kit alone is worth? has ne 1 got any experience as to what kit is better out of evoloution and the QSD?

if the evo kit is lower guessing h22 eg's would have more header clearance issues

people seem to favor the QSD kits more than the evo over in the states. correct me if im wrong, but i think the evo kit comes with a supplied flywheel, where as with the QSD kit you can use any b-series flywheel and clutch. the evo kit is more expensive because it comes with mounts to.
theres also ment to be a h2d kit where you use ur d-series box.

Both are great Kits. It depends if you want to lose ground clearance for a good hood fitment or raise the hood hideously and have ground clearance

If its going into an EK, ill go for the QSD kits
