CRV 2009 high pitch noise

my 2009 CRV started making a high pitch noise for about 10 to 15 seconds after you switch the engine off. just wondering if anyone on the 09 model are having the same issue, the sound seems to be there during idle but not as loud i did some search on web and found a lot of people having the same issue. i took the car back to the dealer but there seem to be at a lost and gave a different explanation from the below.

i found this article posted but its for the 07 - 08 Models.

A/C Whistles or Hoots

SYMPTOM
There is a high-pitched whistle or hoot from the A/C system when the A/C compressor turns on while the vehicle is driven between 40 and 50 mph.

PROBABLE CAUSE
The refrigerant flow inside the expansion valve pipe assembly creates a whistle or hoot.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the expansion valve and pipe assembly.

Can't say that I've noticed this sound from mine but it makes me worry now. I'll check today and let you know.

Have you only noticed it now? or did it start after say 5000k's? (I ask as I've only done about 850k's so far)

it started when i reached about 2000k's have not reach 3k yet...you may only hear the sound inside a garage, try it with the engine on and turn it off so you can hear it.

I was about to ask because whilst driving it today i definitely couldn't hear it in the cabin. I'll listen out for it when I get home tonight.

OK definitely can't hear it at the moment. Will check when 2000k's comes around (probably a week or 2) and let you know then.

it happens to me.. just got this fix last week need to go back 3 times to the dealer and the noise is gone now. They changed my A/C compressor.

They told me that is what is making the noise.
First time they told me it was the power streering pump but after they change that part, the noise it still there and then they found out the noise come from the A/C compressor.

and my crv is only on 5000k
made year 2008...

i feel like buying hyundai not honda...
not satisfied with new CRV quality...

of course its for free.... it still under warranty... only have been driving it for 5000km no way i will pay for that...

i got crv 08 standard model... just unhappy with the quality of it...

When I take mine in to get fixed I'll tell them to change this 1st. Thanks for the info
