excess fuel in the engine
hi i have a B16A crx with "multipoint fuel injection" (i think, it has the fuel rail and 4 injectors) the car dose not start all the time. so i took out the spark plugs and saw there was alot of fuel in it. Is this what is stoping the car from starting, why is this happening?
Or is there something else wrong with it ???
Help please please

i cant see any reason why you'd get fuel buildup in a cylinder.
its probably oil

Fouled plugs.
You or the previous owner have been moving the car without letting it warm up.
Clean the plugs or replace em. And next time do not move the vehicle from here to there without letting it warm up.
If this isnt the problem to your hard start, youll need to give more info.
As in.
Cranks n cranks and doesnt start?
Hesitates to start?
Or it does start, but stalls straight away intermittently ?

could it be that the vtec controller is not tuned properly.if yes, then were can i get it tuned. and for how much?
if it is oil in the spark plug then were is it from? head gasket

Vtec has nothing to do with it hesistating to start, all that does is move the engagement point of vtec. Stick with the sugesstions above.
If there is oil on the sparkplug (ontop of spark plug, not), a likely cause is the spark plug hole seals that sit in your rocker cover. Over time they do perish, and are unable to form a seal.
If there is no oil ontop of the spark plug ie on the porcelain and on the thread side then your oil control rings might be on their way out.

Theres no such thing as a Apexi Vtec Controller on its own. Are you talking about a Apexi VAFC? If so you've probably answered your own question with the quote above.

If the ignition is producing no spark (or a very weak spark), but the injection is injecting fuel, then it's not a huge surprise if unburnt fuel is evident in the chamber after attempting but failing to start the engine. This might especially be the case when the engine is cold and the ECU is injecting more petrol than it would be ith a warmed up engine.
Check your spark, but note that just because a spark plug may produce a spark when not installed in the cylinder (i.e. when connected to the HT lead and also grounded to the outside of the engine) doesn't mean that it will necessarily produce a spark when it is installed.
This is because it's easier for a spark plug to produce a spark when gas pressure around the electrodes is lower than higher, and gas pressure inside a cylinder at the moment a plug is expected to create a spark is quite high...
If you find no spark (or a weak spark), then you need to track down the cause.

Pull all of the spark leads off the plugs leaving them still well down plug holes.
(gap of approx 1" between top of plug & end of lead)
& attempt start again...
If this works, go & buy some new plugs.Be sure to gap them correctly.
If not, your coil / ignitor is likley stuffed.
NB: Go to etc on VAFC, scroll to the bottom & initialise the unit.
Answer yes when it asks you, turn the ignition off then on before proceeding.
Re: tuning... expect to pay $200 to have this done.
