    Sub Box Design

Hey i am planning to build my first sub box for an Alpine TypeR 12 inch (SWR-1221D). i was wondering if u knew of any good enclosure calculators on the net, or if u've even built a box for on of these before. Could u give me some tips on how to build and design of box? just wanna get it right first time. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

Also is there anything i should take into consideration for reverse mounting the sub besides reversing polarity? is it just a matter of screwing it on backwards?

When physically mounting the subwoofer it is just a matter of screwing it on backwards but leave the polarity the way it is initially. When you turn the system, try both ways of wiring it up. Many cars that leave here often have the sub out of phase to the front because the bass sounds better that way. Tis all about tuning once the system is done.
