    help s2000 not vtecing urgent!!

hey guys issue is as stated i thought id ask other s2000 owners as you might of run into this issue yourself

    1. i recently turboed my s2000 with a full greddy kit and emanage ultimate
    2. went to take it to get tuned and the car was not reving past 5.5k so we turned vtec off and the it wouldnt rev past 7k.
    3. did a bit of searching around and found out a vtm wire was missing on my PnP Harness and had that wired up the car would rev to 9k no dramas.
    4. turned vtec back on and same issue is happening again just bounces at 5.5k like there was a rev limiter on there. Movt bounce off that limited the vtec engagement point and where ever it went it would happen again jus
5.rechecked all the wiring and the wiring was sweet, stumped removed the turbo kit and same issue still happening.

    Someone please help me!!!!

If it isn't tuned yet, maybe a limp mode to get it to the tuner?

    Hi Flipstar,

I have the Greddy kit although quite heavily modded now. We had similar issues to you, car would hit Vtec and lose considerable power. This happened with both the emanage ULTand the AEM EMS. Problem was solved by raising vtec enagagement to 7200 or 7400 (cant remember). Had something to do with the harmonics of vtec enagement with a log manifold.

So the car is still acting the same although back to stock with the stock ecu and stock injectors? Weird, maybe your vtec soleniod is stuffed?
    Good luck

I know this sounds pretty darn stupid.
    But change ECU.

Get something made for a honda. And youll have no troubles and most definately more power with compromising reliability.

i dont know who tunes the e-manage up in syd but Trent at STATUS TUNING ( http://www.statustuning.com/ ) in melbourne is a wonder with them. give him a call and see what he has to say?

have you had the laptop plugged in and been watching the maps and various sensors while it cuts out at 5500?
i dont know whats included with the GReddy turbo kit but it could possibly, tho i think highly unlikely, that PART of the problem may be a sensor is reading outside of the OEM range or there is a section of the map that needs to be looked at in more depth (ignition map including) that is causing fuel or spark cut

TODA here in sydney might be able to help..

The emanage ultimate is on their list of ecu's they have experience with.

Mine was purchased from the US. Im pretty sure it isnt the ULT as we had the same thing happen with an AEM EMS. The log manifold, small turbo and small downpipe is quite restrictive, bring the car to a competent tuner and lift vtec engagement to around 7400rpms.

A problem you created & were party too... Not the other way around...
When you have someone else strap together a complete pile of shit that only pushes 125kw at the wheels. (Not 150+ you're dreaming)
You have a real hide blaming someone else for your issues.
We explained your problem to you...
That is your cat/exhaust is ****ed & your emanage is locked.
We offered you a fix, but you didn't want that...
You prefered to leave it the way it is...
& like arseholes we charged you $50 for wasting an hour & a half of our time.
    -1 rep point for you.
